ECB: possible increase of the interest rates?

 
Jean Claude Trichet, the President of the European Central Bank, on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011, during a press conference, announced a possible increase of his guiding interest rate from next month onwards. Since May, 2009, the intervention rate of the ECB(EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK) is fixed to 1 % to help the Eurozone to surmount the economic crisis and to avoid the deflation. The rates of real estate loans depending directly on the rate fixed by the ECB(EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK), the interest rates of the loans risk to increase whereas real estate prices could fall.
