A diagnosis determining the presence of termites is to be realized for the sale of any property located in a zone defined as at risk, determined by prefectoral decree.
To date, about fifty departments have been listed as being at risk by the FCBA. It is possible to get information directly from the town hall about the state of risk to which the good is exposed or to download the list of the departments at risk from the FCB’s website.
This diagnosis is to be realized by a professional certified by an organization that is accredited by the COFRAC before the setting on sale of the good, because it must be placed at the disposal of any visitor, like each diagnosis compulsory to its sale.
This diagnosis must be carried out less than 6 months before the date of signature of the commitment to sell or the sale contract.
If the good is found to be infected, the owner is in the obligation to declare the presence of termites to the town hall, and will have to proceed to the necessary works. |
