For a durable preoccupation with a construction and better respecting the environment, of the alternatives were created for the residences. Accordingly, it is in Germany that the first passive house appeared to reduce the energy expenditure of a hearth or a whole building.
The house passivates which meets the energy standard
The goal of the passive habitat is to minimize the energy expenditure to rest on a simple principle: all modern comfort can exist without to exceed the 15kWh per m2 a year in particular with regard to the heating.
That can be done in various situations and zones with as characteristic the temperature which can be ambient constantly of the year. With specific materials used, energy consumption can thus considerably reduce in particular for the requirements in heating. Thus, the use of certain apparatuses requests solar energy, the metabolic contributions but also a better insulation.
On the whole, consumption reached 50kWh/m2/an if one adds the 15kWh with the energy requirement to heat water and electricity.
The passive house: how does it go?
It should be known that specific materials and equipment are required to have a passive house which meets the energy standards (a priori German). The thermal isolation is thus useful where the house must be perfectly packed with a considerable thickness. Then, there is the ventilation system the needs of the owners but also the zone where the dwelling is located. The installation must be mechanical and controlled with double flow.
For that, a triple glazing is used for the windows in order to decrease the heat loss so that there are more glazed surfaces. And finally, it is necessary to consider the cold bridges and air tightness. Operation is simple resting on two essential points: the reduction to the maximum of the loss of heat and the optimization of the profits.
To reduce the thermal losses, the transmission is used which goes from the external walls towards the house, a possible situation through the glazings. Their solar factors reach the 50% to gain solar energy even in winter. The ventilation is also requested where the air enters by controlled mechanical ventilation to double flow. The house must in this case contain a recuperator of heat.
So that the profits in energy are constant, there is the use of the solar heating which is an auxiliary heating.
Assets of the passive house
Contrary to the traditional buildings, the passive house is very advantageous. Construction can sometimes prove to be expensive at the beginning but the benefit on the long run are really palpable. There is indeed a saving in heating with a comfort ensured by heat in winter but also by a good ventilation in summer. And in general, the temperature remains ambient all the year.
In parallel, heat is preserved in the long run and the preoccupations with a moisture are automatically solved. But it is not very because this kind of dwelling respects the environment because less C02 are emitted. More: it is possible to ask a financing in this kind of construction the world profit. |
