Since January 1st, 2011, the launching of the diagnostic program of Performance energy or DPE is the object of several criticisms of professionals and private individuals in the field of the real estate. They is to make them conceal that the French administration decided to bring some applicable changes by January 1st, 2012.
Improvements expected by all
In its initial version, the EPD envisaged to make a study on 30 key points for the determination of the energy consumption of a building and the greenhouse gas rate which it emits. However, the professional ones in the field estimated that these points were not sufficient to have powerful diagnostic tools. It even proved that there was a considerable difference between simulations which were made and reality on the ground.
The Minister for Ecology, Sustainable development, Transport and Housing as well as the Secretary of State in charge of housing benefitted from the National council from the habitat to discuss the improvements to bring to the DPE. The discussion and the studies were especially centered on the reliability and the transparency of the tool. It left 30 additional points there to take account in the diagnosis and the new version thus consists of 60 key points. However, its innovations will be applicable only as from the next year, more precisely in January 2012.
Which are the evolutions of the new DPE
Since January 2011, each building which enters within the framework them real transactions must be the object of an announcement of the result of the diagnosis which was made.
