Defense, March 27th, 2012 - On the occasion, from first the biennial international one of creation of urban furniture, the District of Defense will be nine months during the object of an experiment of urban environment baptized “public Form”. A whole experiment for better reconsidering public spaces.
As of this Thursday, the district of Defense will appear under a new day for the million residents of the largest European district of businesses. The occasion to discover shelters in the Gruyere shape, swing trees or a giant hammock with the paces of trampoline. What to give the vision of this district of 53 hectares in a few years, in agreement with the already existing real infrastructures.
Initiated by the public corporation in load of the management and the animation of Defense, Defacto, a call for projects open was launched on five urban sets of themes: to throw/sort, poser/se to rest, attendre/s' to shelter, lunch, travailler/se to cultivate. Several topics thus which will especially make it possible to fill the shift noted between public spaces and the large buildings which make the characteristic of this district.
To inaugurate this March 29th, the experiment will receive the impressions of the 35.000 daily users and the tourists to design a more capable urban furniture to meet the needs for the townsmen. End of the experiment envisaged, at the end of December.
To combine a multipurpose space with the wellbeing and the relaxation
The objective of Defacto is very clear, in addition to reconsidering the district Defense, the establishment of management is due to one to better live “dalliens”. One thus finds among curiosities to visit and occupy the time of a few minutes, the three shelters in the Gruyere shape of David Apheceix, Benjamin Lafore and Sebastien Martinez Barat.
