The Brazilian great architect Oscar Niemeyer was hospitalized in Rio at the 104 years age following a pneumonia and with a dehydration. But there is no really what to worry since according to its doctor Fernando Gjorup, his state seems to stagnate. It even seems to improve, affirms the hospital which admitted it, Samaritano of Rio de Janeiro.
According to information collected, it was evacuated two days rather. Those which relate to its medical file should appear in the 24 hours which follow, but a possibility of exit was not considered yet. According to its doctor, it breathes now without apparatuses, but is still under serum and antibiotic treatment by intravenous way.
Let us recall that it is a very known great man in Brazil since it finalized more than 600 projects in architecture everywhere in the world. One of works which marked its career is Brasília, a project which it carried out with the town planner Lucio Costa in 1960. Thanks to that, everyone recognizes it as a father of the modern architecture on the Brazilian territory.
It also carried out the museum of contemporary art of Niteroi between 1991 and 1996. And in 2003, it constructs the auditorium of São Paulo which was then open in 2005. Moreover, the plans of a 100 height meters gigantic monument in homage to Bolivar were establish by this architect in 2007.
For his projects in Brazil, one can inter alia quoting the seat of the public prosecutor of the Republic or the supreme court or the Montreal residences in São Paulo. In 1982, it also set up the plans of the house of the culture of Harbor in France. And even the top of its 100 years and more, it still established the plans of the accesses of the town of Harbor in 2008. |
