The construction project of a factory of Siemens began in Saudi Arabia. The goal is to satisfy the Saoudi market on electrical equipment. Indeed, this country has consequent needs concerning electricity estimates the group. It will be the first manufacture of this company in the Middle East.
The factory is located at Dammam in the east of the country. Work includes/understands gas turbines and compressors and should be completed in 2013.
Siemens envisages to set up another branch of transfer of new technologies manufactured by the company. This construction was also initiated for the support of industry in Saudi Arabia according to the information emitted by the company.
The surface of the factory is of more than 200.000 square meters according to certain sources. The investments will be supported by Siemens itself and E.A Juffali & brothers.
